Things I notice while shaving
Tuesday, December 02, 2003

I have a new can of shaving gel. It's a delicious-looking blue gel. It wouldn't look out of place on a birthday cake, but I wouldn't recommend trying that.

On the side of the can it says, "Lifts away oil and dirt!". I can't help but wonder why that's a selling point. Don't people already have a product to do that? Like soap, for example? Do they expect guys to read that and think, "Hey, hey! I've been looking for something to remove all this oil and dirt!"

Below that is something even more intriguing. In silver print: "RUST-PROOF BOTTOM". It's good to know that simple shaving gel can rust-proof your bottom. Now that's a selling point.
